The International Fund for Agricultural Development's target group involve rural people living in poverty and food insecurity in developing countries. These rural people share a common trait of being extremely poor, but have the potential to take advantage of improved access to assets and opportunities for agricultural production and rural income generating activities. These rural people also share a commonality of currently possessing fewer assets and opportunities with respects to being in marginalized groups like in the minorities and indigenous peoples. 

This presentation is based on AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Poverty Traps Conference. This conference is a gathering point for USAID and other development assistant agencies to connect the poor to economic growth.
